Reviewing Criteria

I’ve been pondering starting a site to showcase some Vic 20 games for some time. Partly because there is not a lot of love for the old Vic 20 on the Interweb but also as an excuse to revisit some of the games I remember most fondly. It’s also an opportunity to explore some of the games I’ve forgotten or not even seen before.
Over time I hope to be able to expand the list of games, good and bad, in a nice searchable website. I also want to be able to show these games without having to load them up in an emulator or wait for them to load on the original hardware, so screenshots and videos are included as a part of every review.
There’s also some help on getting the games going in an emulator where needed as expanded games require the right memory configuration to be set.
Reviews are purely subjective with a rating from zero to five stars. To help you find them, each game is categorised by its type (arcade, platform, puzzle, adventure etc) and also are tagged with various attributes such as their media (tape or cartridge) and memory requirements (unexpanded, +3K, +8K, +16K).
